There are few people in life who make such a lasting impression that they remain with you in spite of time and distance. Henry is one such person. We met on the Mizzou campus (Go Tigers!) in ’98 and have been friends ever since. When he told me he was getting married and wanted me to document the day, I was more than honored, and couldn’t wait to meet his lovely bride. Silky (how awesome is her name, by the way?) has such a warm and welcoming smile, that I felt right at home. Both of you are beautiful people and I thank you for allowing me to witness the first step in your journey as husband and wife.
Silky & Henry chose to have their wedding ceremony and reception at The Little Gardens in Atlanta, GA. It is such a beautiful venue with interesting touches everywhere you look.
Silky’s dress was simply gorgeous…a bit like her.
The bridal suite was abuzz with ladies in preparation.
There was, however, one gentleman that happened to grace the bridal suite. Allow me to introduce you to Silky & Henry’s son. How cute is this little man?
While the ladies were busy getting dolled up, Henry had a bit of time to relax before the festivities began.
As the final touches were made…
…the happy couple prepared to see each other for the first time that day, before the ceremony began.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, it gave the signal that it was time for the ceremony to begin. It was a beautiful one, filled with laughter, heartfelt sentiments and sound wisdom. I couldn’t help but smile through the entire service.
Following the ceremony, Silky & Henry had an intimate Little Gardens reception, where beautiful details abounded.
In the cool of the evening, as the celebration drew to a close, friends and family wished the newlyweds well on their adventure as husband and wife.
Silky & Henry, for affording me a glimpse into the love you share with each other and that handsome little man of yours, I just want to say…
Rakeda you are the BOMB…I love every single last pic and can't wait to see the full disc! – Silky
